Chamberlain Hrdlicka's Houston-based team, led by Habeeb ‘Hobbs’ Gnaim, practice chair of the firm's Tax Planning & Business Transactions Group, and David Pierson, represented ZT Corporate in its acquisition of STAT Specialty Hospital, including three micro hospitals and one free standing emergency center located in Laredo, Del Rio, and Eagle Pass.  The deal is a significant expansion of ZT Corporate's regional footprint in south Texas.

With 31 locations across Texas, ZT Corporate’s healthcare portfolio, Altus Community Healthcare (“Altus”) is recognized as the largest operator of freestanding emergency centers in the state. ZT Corporate, a private equity firm that specializes in healthcare and automotive investments, is a long-time client of Gnaim. Discussing the transaction, Taseer Badar, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ZT Corporate, said, “We’re grateful to our long-standing trusted advisors at Chamberlain Hrdlicka for their invaluable transactional tax and M&A expertise as we navigated the complexities of this deal. Hobbs and his team were instrumental in making this and our previous acquisitions possible.
