Diana Gomez, Chamberlain Hrdlicka’s shareholder and chair of the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice, will receive the 2025 Fellows Award from the National Conference of Bar Presidents (NCBP) during the organization’s Midyear Meeting in Phoenix, AZ on January 31, 2025.
NCBP established the Fellows Award in 2005 to honor an outstanding past president of a bar association. Recipients must demonstrate continuing commitment to leadership, service, the work of the organized bar and the purpose of the NCBP, as well as a lifetime of achievement or exceptional service to lawyers or the public.
Gomez focuses her civil litigation practice on complex labor and employment disputes and has successfully defended all types of employment law matters in state and federal court including claims involving non-competes, discrimination, retaliation, FLSA, and ERISA. She serves on Chamberlain Hrdlicka’s Board of Directors and is the national chair for the firm’s Labor & Employment Law section and the Pro Bono Committee. She was recently elected to the State Bar of Texas’s (SBOT) Board of Directors. She previously served as the Houston Bar Association’s (HBA) 2023/24 president, the first Latina at the helm of the 154-year-old organization. She is the past president of the Hispanic Bar Association of Houston, where she currently sits on the Board of Directors.
In recognition of her professional accomplishments and community involvement, Gomez received the 2024 Outstanding Alumni Award from the Texas A&M University’s Bush School of Government & Public Service and the 2024 Breakthrough Woman Award from the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce. She was also named the 2024 Trailblazer of the Year by the Hispanic Bar Association of Houston as well as recognized by the Houston Business Journal as 2024 HR Service Provider of the Year. She has been listed on Best Lawyers in America since 2022.
